Unite the Union says it's hoping to see a new offer on the table as negotiations over bus drivers' pay and conditions continue today (16 March).

The union's members have been on strike over the weekend with regular service set to resume tomorrow.

Debbie Halsall is Unite's regional officer:

Geraldine O'Neill, local negotiating secretary for the NASUWT and Vice Chair of the Industrial Relations Forum, explains why the teaching union is standing by the side of drivers.

The Department of Infrastructure says it's committed to negotiating a mutually acceptable settlement.
