29-year-old also fined £250
An Anagh Coar man has been banned from going to pubs after being found drunk and incapable of looking after himself.
Twenty-nine-year-old Nathan Alexander Orme, of Anagh Coar Road, admitted the offence at Douglas Courthouse.
Members of the public contacted police after spotting a man asleep in Pulrose at 4.30pm on 14 May.
When officers arrived, in Heather Crescent, they were unable to wake Orme who smelled strongly of drink.
When they managed to rouse him he couldn't stand up and his speech was incoherent – he was then arrested and taken to Police Headquarters.
The court heard he had a number of previous convictions for alcohol-related offences.
Orme was fined £250 and ordered to pay £125 towards prosecution costs.
He was also banned from entering on-licensed premises, or purchasing alcohol, for six months.
