Records have been broken in relation to rainfall on the Isle of Man.
Between 9am yesterday (8 April) and 9am today (9 April) 49.5mm of rain was collected at Ronaldsway Met Office.
This exceeds the previous record of 38.5mm from 1971.
Ronaldsway Met Office has updated its statistics following confirmation earlier today that the records had been superseded.
So far this month almost 95mm of rain has fallen; the long term 30-year average (between 1991 and 2020) is 54.4mm.
April marks the fifth consecutive month with above average rainfall.
