Aer Lingus to run 'double-daily' Dublin service from March

Emerald Airlines offers 20,000 extra seats

Flights from the Isle of Man to Dublin are set to become more frequent next year.

From 26 March, Aer Lingus will run twice-daily flights from Ronaldsway to the Irish capital on Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays, as well as a new Saturday flight.

In a statement, the Isle of Man Airport said the move follows rising customer demand - with more than 20,000 additional seats on offer, according to Emerald Airlines.

Airport Director Gary Cobb says: 'We are delighted to see this important and strategic route increase in frequency.' 

'Not only will this be an advantage to customers travelling to Dublin but also has the added bonus of connections onto the US and other destinations, which in turn will bring huge benefits to residents, business and visitors wishing to explore our unique Island.'

A 'massive bonus', the airport says, is that passengers travelling from Ireland to the United States can pre-clear US Immigration and Customs at Dublin before boarding.
