Cars could be restricted from 2022
From 2022 new cars could have technology which stops them from straying over the speed limit.
The Department for Transport in the UK has confirmed it'll adopt the EU rules, which will also see "black box"-style data recorders fitted to vehicles.
This will stand, it's believed, regardless of what happens with Brexit.
It's suggested the new moves could save up to 25,000 lives over the next two decades.
