The figure covers 2022-2024 and 2025 to date
There have been 85 accidents on roads in the Douglas and Onchan area that are currently being considered for inclusion in the 20 mile an hour zones.
The figure's been revealed in the response to a written Tynwald question.
The number covers the last three full years as well as 2025 to date.
In 2022 there were 29 incidents, 27 the following year, 21 in 2024 and there have been eight so far this year.
The Infrastructure Minister, Michelle Haywood, adds there may have been additional accidents but were not reported to the police so weren't recorded.
The Department of Infrastructure says final speed limit decisions will be made following public consultation feedback.
