Once in a lifetime comet visible in the night skies

It's predicted to be one of the best comets of the year

Isle of Man residents have more reasons to look up to the skies this weekend. 

But this time it's not to spot the Aurora Borealis but a once-in-a-lifetime comet. 

Comet Tsuchinshan-Atlas orbits the sun and got close to it on 27 September - it's expected to be seen over Manx skies between tomorrow and Monday (12-14 October). 

Manx Radio's local astronomer Howard Parkin says it's a 'prominent comet' that can be seen every 95,000 years.

He added it will be bright enough to see with the naked eye advising people to look for a fuzzy ball with a long tail stretching away:
