More girls than boys in last month of 2024
The Isle of Man welcomed 49 new arrivals in December.
Twenty-seven baby girls, and 22 baby boys, were born at Noble’s Hospital.
The lightest little-one weighed two kilograms and the heaviest weighed in at 4.4 kilograms.
The data, released by the Jane Crookall Maternity Unit, shows no sets of twins were born during the month.
December’s total beats that of the month prior when 40 babies were born but is a considerable drop from October and September when 60 and 61 babies were born respectively.
