Details of 2024 TT Legacy Lap confirmed

Annual event attracts hundreds of riders each year

Details have been announced for the TT Legacy Lap taking place at this year's races.

The event - which attracts hundreds of riders each year - will take place on Sunday, 2 June ahead of the six-lap Superbike TT race later that day.

Under the instruction of TT Clerk of the Course Gary Thompson there will be a one-minute 'sound of thunder' before the convoy sets off from 9.30am for a lap around the Snaefell Mountain Course.

Signing on for those wishing to take part will be at the Hailwood Centre behind the TT Grandstand in Douglas from Tuesday, 28 May until Saturday, 1 June each day between 2pm and 7pm.

Participants will then be asked to assemble in the pit lane at the grandstand on the Sunday from 8.30am.

For many of those who get involved it's a chance to remember family and friends who've shared a passion both for the TT and motorcycling.

Some participating in 2024 will be doing so in memory of Dave Myers - one half of the Hairy Bikers - supporting a number of coinciding mass ride-outs in the UK for cancer charities.
