Six weeks of sessions for year 7 and 8 girls
Western Vikings is hosting six weeks worth of U13 girls rugby sessions to help chip away at the sports reputation of being a 'boy's game'.
Following successful trial runs at QEII last month, training will be held every Wednesday, starting today (4 Nov), at the Tommy Clucas Hall after school.
All girls from year 7 and 8 are welcome.
With currently only one women's rugby team on the Island - Vagabond Ladies - it's hoped interest at grassroots level will encourage more girls to take up the sport.
