Weather hits Football openers

Just six matches will be played on the opening day of the Football season.

Many pitches around the Island are waterlogged with the weather more akin to the middle of winter than August.

The following games have been postponed:-

Sure Mobile Premier League:-
Laxey v Douglas Royal
St. John's v Ayre
and St. Mary's v Gymns

CFS Division Two:-
Foxdale v Douglas & District
Marown v Malew
Police v Colby
and Pulrose v Ramsey Youth Centre

Combination One:-
Corinthians v Rushen
and Douglas Royal v Laxey

Combination Two:-
Douglas & District v Foxdale
