Manx and UK sides face off in two-day Island tournament
The Isle of Man and Chester claimed the top honours during the annual Celton Manx Invitational volleyball tournament last weekend.
Now in its fourth year, the tournament across 17-18 May saw four Island sides welcome opposition from the UK for two days of round-robin competition.
In the Men's Division, IoM 1 claimed first place with a tournament-best points total of 431 whilst Anglesey finished as runners-up.
Elsewhere, Chester were victorious in the women's event with a flawless record of six victories with, overcoming Isle of Man 1 who took second spot.
In the individual accolades, Rintaro Hagemi of Anglesey secured the Men's Most Valuable Player (MVP) prize with the women's MVP going the way of Chester's Vanessa Barry.
Separately, it's been announced the Isle of Man Falcons women's squad has been accepted to the play in the English National Volleyball League and will compete in Division 3 North.
This coming weekend (24-25 May) Volleyball IoM will represent the Island at the Brian Kendall Cup on Merseyside.
