Martyn Jones and Maurice Snell were a further one minute 24 seconds behind with Daniel Harper and Paula Swinscoe in fourth place in their Mini Cooper.
Nigel Cannell and Nick Kaighin were fifth in their Vaxuhall Corsa with Tim Collins and Paul McCann completing the top six.
