Vikings' dream of reaching the final of the English Hockey Association Vase is over.
The Manx women's champions went down 5-1 to Alderley Edge in the semi-finals of the competition on Sunday afternoon.
After an awful start in which they went 3-0 behind, Vikings reduced the arrears before half-time and came close to adding a second.
However, two late goals ensured a comfortable victory for a strong Alderley Edge who included three Lithuanian internationals in their team.
