Vagabonds’ woes continue

Skanco Vagabonds’ poor run of results continued into the New Year when they went down 13-8 at home to promotion chasing Wigan in EuroManx South Lancashire/Cheshire Division One.

Vagas trailed 8-5 at half-time with their points coming from a Jason Bowden try.

A penalty from skipper Johnny Beckley levelled the scores at 8-8 but, just when it looked like the game was going to finish all square, Wigan picked up a try in the closing minutes to take both points.
