Vagas’ Ladies beat Ormskirk 31-12 in their first home game of the 2012/13 season.
Anne Marie Rivers opened the scoring in the very first minute - her first try in 15 years.
Ormskirk countered through wing Charlotte Pierce and led when Charlotte Trail converted.
However, Vagas then upped their game with tries from Lauren Ellison and Rachel Beckley, both converted by Cath Moore, ensuring they led 19-7 at half-time.
Ormskirk’s Pierce scored her second early on in the second half but tries from Ellison and Tara Jackson made the game safe for Vagabonds.
