Vagabonds lost 16-15 at Ballafletcher to Fleetwood Grasshoppers but put in a vastly improved performance and almost recorded their first win of the season in RFU Women’s Championship North Two.
Number eight Tara Jackson was the star for Vagabonds with two tries, with speedster Lizzie Lennon picking up their third.
Fleetwood picked up tries from Stephanie Wilson and Wendy Voo but the winning points came courtesy of two penalties from stand-off Mel Box.
