Tributes paid to 70-year-old
Tributes are being paid to former motorcycle racer Pat Hennen who has died at the age of 70.
He was the first American rider to win a 500cc World Championship race but suffered a career-ending injury at the Isle of Man TT in 1978.
Former GP racer Steve Parrish says Pat was a 'massively talented rider' who was 'never allowed to achieve his potential' due to his accident.
Very sad news. Pat was a massively talented rider. Sadly his 1978 TT accident never allowed him to achieve his potential. RIP 🙏. https://t.co/5ipO7itc5i
