Michael Dunlop is admitting he spoke to a number of teams before settling on an offer from Kawasaki, supported by Paul Bird Motorsport.
The in-demand 22-year-old will ride Kawasaki bikes in the Superbike and Superstock classes but will continue his Supersport campaign on a Yamaha at TT 2011.
Dunlop says the deal gives him the best of both worlds, namely running his own operation with factory help:
