Rider to pilot BMW machinery in 1000cc classes

German racing team, Penz13.com has announced the signing of rider, Shaun Anderson for the 2026 Isle of Man TT Races.

The 42-year-old will compete on board the squad's BMW M1000RR machinery in the Senior, Superbike and Superstock classes at this year's event.

Having made his TT debut in 2012, more recently the Northern Irishman has eight top-15 finishes in the last four years, including securing eighth spot in the 2024 Senior race.

Anderson's new team is led by owner and former TT competitor, Rico Penzkofer with the squad as a whole having been involved in the racing fortnight since 2009.

On his latest move, Anderson says: "I would like to thank Rico for the opportunity. 2026 will be a big year for me, the start of a new project with a new team and manufacturer. I’m sure the BMW will be a step forward.

"It has been the machine to be on for the last couple of years. Having just one big bike to concentrate on without the compromise of switching between bikes will make a big difference”

Along with some strong performances in more recent times, both of his best TT results came in the Zero TT class where he finished sixth and seventh in 2018 and 2019 respectively.

Meanwhile, Mr Penzkofer adds: "We are very pleased to welcome Shaun to the team for the 2026 TT. He is a very experienced rider on the Mountain Course and has shown strong, consistent performances in recent years.

"His approach and understanding make him a very good fit for our team."

The 2026 Isle of Man TT Races are scheduled to take place from Monday, 25 May to Saturday, 6 June.
