
Team to hand Maurizio Bottalico his TT debut
Crowe Performance is expanding two a two-rider lineup for this year's Isle of Man TT Races.
Led by experienced Snaefell Mountain Course competitor Phil Crowe, the squad will also field San Marino competitor Maurizio Bottalico for what will be his TT debut.
Both will take on the Senior, Superbike and Superstock races on BMW M1000RR machinery.
In what will be his tenth TT campaign, Crowe will be hoping for better fortunes having been a retirement from all three races he entered.
The rider from Market Rasen has managed two top-ten finishes at the TT so far in the 2018 Superbike TT and 2022 Superstock TT.
He says: "We’ve been looking to run a two-rider team for some time, but it’s all been about finding the right rider and Maurizio ticks all the boxes.
"He’s got good experience now around the Mountain Course with some good performances at the Manx Grand Prix as well as in the European Hill Climb Championships so will be able to hit the ground running.
!He’s not only taken to the 1000cc bike quickly, but he’s also fitted into the team seamlessly."
Meanwhile, Bottalico moves into the TT having impressed at the Manx Grand Prix which he first appeared in in 2022 with a 12th place finish in the Senior MGP race.
In 2023 and 2024 he managed third and second place finishes respectively in the Junior MGP.
Last weekend he earned the Best Newcomer award at the North West 200 after recording four top-20 finishes.
Bottalico adds: "I’m very excited about my debut at the TT in the 1000 class, and I'm very happy to be able to do it with Team Crowe Performance because they have a lot of experience and I'm sure I can learn a lot from them. I can't wait to get started"
The 2025 Isle of Man TT Races are due to take place from Monday, 26 May to Saturday, 7 June.
