Dean Harrison also sets new Supersport qualifying benchmark

Reigning Sidecar TT champions Ryan and Callum Crowe set a new sidecar qualifying lap record of 120.202mph in one of the headlines of a busy first TT qualifying session today (30 May).

Elsewhere, there was an 8TEN Racing top-two in Superbike timed practice courtesy of Davey Todd (132.673mph) and Peter Hickman just behind (131.326mph).

In the Superstock category, Dean Harrison continued his strong start to TT 2025 qualifying to top the board at 132.853mph.

Later in the afternoon we also saw a qualifying lap record broken by Harrison (128.093mph) in the Supersport class whilst Michael Dunlop (122.159mph ) led the way in the Supertwins.

As the top times in the Superbike class continued to climb higher above the 130mph mark in this latest practice schedule, Davey Todd would go fastest in that class managing 132.673mph from a standing start on his only lap.

Making it an 8TEN Racing one-two in this session was Peter Hickman who brought his BMW machinery in second-quickest (131.326mph) whilst also up into the top three at third-fastest was Manxman Conor Cummins who managed to clock a flying lap of 131.027mph on the Burrows Engineering/RK Racing BMW.

Having set the fastest opening qualifying lap in TT history on Wednesday at just over 133mph on his Honda Racing Superbike, Harrison was making a statement on his Superstock machinery this afternoon topping both the Superstock and overall qualifying standings for the afternoon at 132.853mph.

Only 4.3 seconds further back was Peter Hickman on the 8TEN Racing Superstock at second-fastest and also over the 132mph mark (132.29mph) whilst Davey Todd completed the Superstock top three managing 132.195mph from a standing start.

In the three-wheeling class, the Manx duo of Ryan and Callum Crowe broke the sidecar qualifying lap record twice during another dominant session.

Their 119.668mph from a standing start was then bettered by their second and flying lap at 120.202mph.

Behind them and despite having to make some changes since Wednesday's one-lap sidecar practice, Peter Founds and Jevan Walmsley managed to slot in at second-quickest this afternoon (116.638mph) whilst just over 15 seconds further back were the new pairing this year of Ben Birchall and Patrick Rosney (115.129mph).

More records tumbled in the Supersport class as Dean Harrison's 128.093mph was the benchmark ahead of the leading force in the class in recent years, Michael Dunlop (127.739mph) who in turn was clear of Hickman (127.543mph).

Second in the Supersport but an imperious late display from Dunlop in the Supertwin with a pace of 122.159mph

Outside of that, Manxman Michael Evans impressed again in class to go second in the timings (121.426mph) with third-fastest rider Dominic Herbertson (121.194mph) also at the sharp end.

Roads around the Snaefell Mountain Course - except for the Mountain Road which will stay shut - are due to reopen no later than 4.30pm.

They will then close again at 6pm tonight for the evening contingency session which is being utilised.

First out tonight will be the Superbike and Superstock classes at 6.30pm before the Supersport/Supertwin categories at 7.20pm.

Tonight's timed practice will then conclude with the sidecars at 8.10pm.

Roads around the course will then reopen no later than 9.30pm.
