Manx Tri Club competitor wins Xterra Weston Park event
Isle of Man athlete Will Draper has taken his first pro level triathlon victory.
The Manx Tri Club competitor finished in top spot in the standard triathlon in the Xterra Weston Park event on Saturday (11 May) in a time of two hours, seven minutes and 51 seconds.
He finished just under two minutes clear of Morgan Rhodes in second (two hours, nine minutes and 15 seconds) with third going to Ben Goodfellow (two hours, 15 minutes and five seconds).
Last summer, Draper took individual bronze in the men's triathlon; helped the Isle of Man win team bronze in the triathlon relay and also helped the Isle of Man men's cycling squad to team silver in the cycling criterium at the 2023 Island Games in Guernsey.
