Manxman finishes several places higher during second wildcard appearance
Isle of Man triathlete Will Draper put in an improved display during his second wildcard appearance on the T100 Triathlon World Tour last weekend.
The Manxman managed an 11th place finish in the men's race on round four of the series in London on Saturday, 9 August, picking up ten more series points in the process.
It's a step up from his showing at the previous stage in Vancouver, Canada in June where he crossed the line in 15th on what was his first outing at the event.
In total, he now has 16 T100 points putting him 20th out of 39 athletes in the men's standings after just two races.
The T100 tour features 40 elite long-distance athletes - 20 male and 20 female - all competing to become series champion and all vying for a share of a $9million prize pot.
Wildcards like Draper are invited onto the tour throughout the season and are chosen by 'exceptional recent performances, top athletes coming back from injury or maternity or more Olympians stepping up in distance.'
