Town go goal crazy

Castletown went on the rampage at the top of CFS Division Two on Saturday.

They demolished the Police 13-0 at the Stadium to stay clear at the summit.

Four from Lee Davenport, hat-tricks from Mike Edge and Alex Crawley, two from Tony Duggan and one from Brett Alcotte ensured a goal glut for the home side.

St John's remain second, with games in hand, after a 5-0 win at Northern Athletic – all the goals coming in the first half – while Pulrose also won away, 4-2 at Foxdale, thanks to goals from Dave Skillen (two), Jay Wood and Andy Glover.

Kenny Maggee, Ricky Lovett, Neil Withers were all on target in the first half to seal a 3-1 victory for Marown at Ramsey Youth Centre.

A double from Chris Anderson and one each from Kevin Ballard, Sean Ballantyne, Ross McWhinney and Gavin Gawne fired Douglas Royal to a 6-2 win at bottom club Ronaldsway.

Darren Coulthard and Matty Williamson earned the Rockets some respect in the second half.

Second half goals from Adam Drewitt and Craig Marsh ensured Malew a 2-0 home success over Onchan, while two from Shane Larkin and one each from Karl Kenny and Will Smith
sealed Braddan a 4-1 home win over Douglas and District.

The Police-Castletown match was abandoned when Sean Quine sustained a suspected broken ankle.

Both clubs wish him well.
