Top ten place for Cavendish

Mark Cavendish has had his best day so far in the Tour de France.

The Manx rider finished in tenth place, in a sprint finish.

Stage three was won by the Frenchman Samuel Dumoulin.

The third day took the field from Saint-Malo to Nantes.
