Tonight's Southern 100 session scheduled to go ahead

Qualifying and opening two races planned at Billown tonight (9 July)

Tonight's Southern 100 Road Races qualifying and racing session is scheduled to go ahead as planned.

Organisers have confirmed they intend to close roads around the Colas Billown Course at 6.05pm this evening.

This will then be followed by qualifying slots for the 1100cc, Lightweight and Supersport machines between 6.18pm and 7.19pm.

The sidecars are then due to have a qualifying slot from 7.26pm to 7.38pm.

After that, the first two races of this year's meeting are due to take place with the six-lap Peel Holdings Senior Race and the Mike Kerruish Plumbing & Heating Lightweight Race over five laps.

Roads around the course will then reopen no later than 9.40pm.

6.05pm - ROADS CLOSE

6.18pm to 6.28pm - 1100cc Red Plates

6.35pm to 6.45pm - Lightweight Green Plates

6.52pm to 7.02pm - Supersport 600cc White Plates (Qualifying)

7.09pm to 7.19pm - Supersport 600cc Yellow Plates (Qualifying)

7.26pm to 7.38pm - Sidecars (Qualifying)

Race 2 - Peel Holdings Senior Race (6 Laps)

Race 1 - Mike Kerruish Plumbing & Heating Lightweight Race (5 Laps)

9.40pm - ROADS REOPEN (at the latest)
