T.T. 2014 entries officially opened yesterday and the regulations show the possibility of a return of a morning practice session.
However, rather than like the old days where riders were up at the crack of dawn, it's proposed to run a qualifying session after the morning rush hour on Thursday 29th May.
Tim Glover reports:-
Subject to public consultation and talks with relevant parties, the additional qualifying session on Thursday morning would run from 10.15am to 12.40pm - road closures would be earlier and later.
First out will be Superbike, Superstock and Supersport machines at 10.15am followed by a session for Supersport and Lightweight bikes starting at 11.05am.
The final part from 11.55am would be for Sidecars.
Last year, the Superbike race was postponed until Mad Sunday to allow competitors additional practice after time was lost in practice week because of weather and other problems.
