Eighteen-year-old to ride for Team ILR
York youngster Joe Thompson will make his debut at TT 2017.
The 18-year-old will ride for Team ILR (Ian Lougher Racing), and will compete in the two Supersport races on a Kawasaki.
Thompson began his career in motocross before switching to a successful spell in the Aprilia Superteen series.
He has raced at Oliver's Mount in Scarborough for the past two seasons and won all eight races he entered last year.
That included lifting the Stu Reed Lightweight Trophy, previously won by TT winners Ian Lougher and Chris Palmer.
