Men's & Women's teams took on group events in Frinton and Manchester
The Isle of Man's tennis sides recorded a series of positive results during the recent 2024 LTA Summer County Cup events.
An eight-strong women's team traveled to Didsbury, Manchester between 22-26 July whilst a men's squad featuring seven players made their way to Frinton-on-Sea in Essex.
The female side - featuring Charlotte Clarke, Sarah Long, Karen Faragher, Elena Snidal, Hannah Snidal, Caitlin Henery, Katsuyo Yamazaki and Rosie Manuja - managed two wins from their four contests.
A 6-3 opening day win against Cumbria was followed by 4-5 and 3-6 defeats to Shropshire and Oxfordshire respectively before getting back to winning ways in their final contest 5-4 over Bedfordshire.
Meanwhile the men's team - captained by Sean Drewry and including Andrew Maxwell, Nick Reeder, Herman Oberholtzer, Nerijus Gricevicius, Adam Pyatt-Coppell and Orry Farnworth - fell to losses across all five games they contested against Cornwall, Oxfordshire, South of Scotland, Channel Islands and Cumbria.
However, Isle of Man Tennis says despite those defeats, each player there achieved better results compared to 2023.
