Tennis: International Island series wraps up in Douglas

IoM has been hosting three other nations throughout the week

Numerous nations have tasted success during an international Island tennis series on Island hosted on the Isle of Man over the last five days.

The 2025 International Island Tennis Tournament from 22-27 June has seen the Isle of Man welcome and take on teams from Jersey, Faroe Islands and Cayman Islands in a series of individual and team events.

During the opening team events it was the Faroe Islands and Jersey who took gold in the respective men's and women's events.

Elsewhere, Jersey's Louis Keenan emerged victorious in the men's singles whilst Franco Esterhuizen of Cayman Islands secured silver and Jersey's Jonathan Le Feuvre took bronze.

In the women's singles it was the Isle of Man's Charlotte Clarke who took top spot, defeat Cayman Islands' Abi Anderson who had to settle for silver whilst Anderson's teammate Lauren Fullerton would take home bronze.

Meanwhile, it was Jersey who dominated to the doubles competitions - Keenan and Le Feuvre claimed top prize in the men's competition whilst Natasha Forrest and Eva Hurst were winners in the women's class.

Rounding out the event this afternoon was the Mixed Doubles which saw Forrest and Keenan claim gold, beating the fellow Jersey pairing of Hurst and Robert Hannah in the final.
