Former Island player takes straight sets win in round two
Former Isle of Man tennis player Billy Harris is through to the quarter-finals of this year's Eastbourne Open.
Harris - whose previous clubs include Albany and Castletown - beat Italian qualifier Mattia Bellucci in straight sets (6-3, 6-4) in just under 90 minutes this afternoon.
As a result, Harris will face French fourth-seed Ugo Humbert in the last-eight stage after Humbert overcame Italy's Lorenzo Sonego in straight sets (7-5, 6-4) earlier today.
Currently at 142nd in the ATP world rankings, Harris reached the semi-finals of this same competition twelve months ago.
His fellow British competitors - Jacob Fearnley and Dan Evans - are also competing in the second round today.
