27-year-old died in the TT Superbike opening race
A personal sponsor has paid tribute to rider Daley Mathison, who died in the opening TT Superbike race yesterday.
In a statement he says the 27-year-old was a 'bright star'.
The incident happened between Braddan Bridge and Union Mills, on the third lap of the race.
Rider and CEO of MADMAX, Zef Eisenberg, says Daley was "one of the most likeable, friendly and positive racers you'd ever meet."
He adds his "thoughts are with his dear wife Natalie, family, daughter and those who loved him."
