Lloyd Taggart and Jackie Lee took the honours in the opening athletics meeting of 2013.
They won the New Year’s Day St John’s Fell Race at Slieau Whallian.
Always one of the highlights in the fell running calendar, it attracted a record number of 176 competitors – a great number of which were in fancy dress making the muddy three mile course more challenging!
Taggart took the win from Andy Cannell and Simon Skillicorn with Lee successful in the women’s race from Rebecca Wallace and Rosy Craine.
