Taggart and George retain Marathon titles

Lloyd Taggart and Michael George retained their titles in Sunday’s Haldane Fisher 'Syd Quirk' Half Marathon.

Taggart finished more than three minutes clear of Mike Garrett and Stuart Christian to take the honours with Gail Griffiths, 13th overall, the first woman home.

Rebecca Wallace and Louise Russell were second and third respectively.

In the walk, George was over four minutes ahead of Richard Gerrard with Andy Green third.

Seventh place Judith Quane was the quickest woman ahead of Jane Foster and Pauline Ringham.
