Nino Ontoy shines on world stage in Hong Kong
An Isle of Man-based taekwondo competitor has managed to get among the medals at this year's World Taekwondo Poomsae Championships.
Nino Ontoy - contesting the Male Under-30 class at the event in Hong Kong - managed to secure bronze in his category.
He was only bested by Kim Sang Woo of South Korea who claimed gold and USA's Ryan Real who scooped silver.
Ontoy was one of two athletes to guarantee a bronze along with Ian Matthew Corton of the Philippines.
Congratulating Ontoy on his endeavours, the Isle of Man government is describing it as a 'fantastic achievement for Nino and Manx Taekwondo.'
