The Isle of Man squad head off to Glasgow today for the Commonwealth Table Tennis Championships.
Led by coach Ewan Watterson, the Manx team, which includes Paul Corran, Adam Teare and Scott Johnson, has been drawn to play in a group against England, Canada, Pakistan and Northern Ireland.
Following that they'll compete in the singles competition.
To help with their preparations Jason Sugrue, a former British champion and now a full-time table tennis coach, was brought over at the weekend.
Sugrue was impressed by the skill, commitment and enthusiasm shown and has agreed to return to help train the squad ahead of the Island Games in Aland next month.
