Strong start for Gandy in Spain

Tied in second after opening 67

Isle of Man golf professional Tom Gandy has made a strong start at the PGA EuroPro Tour Championship.

The Rowany player is currently tied for second after an opening round of 67 or 5 under par at Desert Springs in Spain.

However, Mikael Lundberg from Sweden has a 3 shot lead after an error free 64.

Tom produced 6 birdies and just one bogey in the first of three rounds at the season ending tournament.

His form has picked up since August with four top 10 finishes helping him qualify for the current event.
