Despite there being eleven days until the opening ceremony, the small team from St. Helena is beginning the long journey to the 13th Natwest Island Games in Aland today.
The island is in the middle of the South Atlantic Ocean and has no direct air links.
The three competitors (two shooters and a golfer) and officials are travelling by boat for three days to Ascension Island.
From there, they fly to South Africa and on to London next Tuesday, before another overnight stop.
A plane to Stockholm followed by a coach journey to Aland will complete the ten day trip.
