Nathan Cardy double secures victory in entertaining contest
St George's have been crowned champions of this year's Kirby Estates Cowell Cup.
A quickfire double from Nathan Cardy in the second half saw 'Geordies' secure a 2-0 victory over Castletown in an entertaining affair at The Bowl last night (12 May).
Cardy also secured the player of the match award.
Both sides have been praised for the competitive and respectful way the tie was played out over the 90 minutes.
Both sides are back in league action tomorrow (14 May) - St George's travel to Laxey in the Canada Life Men's Premier League.
Meanwhile, Castletown come up against Governors Athletic in Division 2.
