Event in Faroe Islands will feature 14 different disciplines
It's been confirmed which sports will feature in the next International Island Games in two years time.
A total of 14 sports have been included for the event being hosted by the Faroe Islands from 3-9 July, 2027.
There will be several changes to the lineup seen at the games in Orkney this year with Golf, Lawn Bowls, Squash and Sailing dropping out of the schedule.
Coming in will be Basketball, Judo, Shooting, Table Tennis, Tennis and Volleyball & Beach Volleyball.
It means a quick return for the likes of Basketball, Shooting, Table Tennis and Tennis which were all part of the games in Guernsey in 2023.
Meanwhile, Volleyball has not featured in the games since 2017 in Gotland with Judo also having had a hiatus after last being included in Gibraltar in 2019.
