Manx squad competing in World Summer Games from this weekend
The Special Olympics Isle of Man team has begun its journey today to take part in an international event in Europe from later this week.
The Manx squad - which includes eighteen athletes - is heading to Berlin for the 2023 World Summer Games which will be held in the city from 17-25 June.
The Isle of Man will contest seven different sports once there, competing in aquatics, athletics, badminton, bocce, bowling, cycling and gymnastics.
The Island athletes also took part in the European Games in Malta in May last year.
There they took 12 medals - two gold, three silver and seven bronze.
