Special Olympics IoM to compete at World Summer Games

Eighteen athletes to fly the Manx flag in Berlin next month

The Special Olympics Isle of Man team will compete in a prestigious event being held in Europe next month.

Eighteen athletes will represent the Manx Flag at the 2023 World Summer Games taking place in Berlin, Germany from 17-25 June.

They'll be involved across seven different sports - aquatics, athletics, badminton, bocce, bowling, cycling and gymnastics.

At last year's European Games in Malta in May 2022, the Isle of Man team secured 12 medals - two gold, three silver and seven bronze.
