'The Hut' celebrates 25th birthday
The Southern 100 Racing Headquarters is celebrating a quarter of a century since it was opened by the biggest name in road racing history.
On the 29 May 1994, Joey Dunlop officially opened the building that's known affectionately as 'The Hut'.
It was constructed through the generosity of race fans and the general public, with contributions also coming through several business donations.
Dunlop - at the time a five-time Southern 100 champion - unveiled a brass plaque just inside the door of the HQ.
Joey went on to win a sixth solo championship five years later.
Happy 25th birthday to 'The Hut', and thank you for all those special memories.
