
Men's, Masters and Billiards squads in Leeds over the next week
A squad of some of the Isle of Man's best snooker players are set to take part in the 2025 Home Internationals over the next week.
The Manx men's and masters squads will take on top opposition from England, Wales, Scotland, Northern Ireland and Republic of Ireland at the competition which runs from today (1 August) until Friday, 8 August.
Along with fielding players in the snooker event, the Isle of Man has also entered a squad into the billiards tournament for this year.
Team player/manager, Darryl Hill explains why this is considered a valuable occasion for local players to take part in:
For the men's squad, Hill will play alongside regulars Dollin Mercer and Peter Kirkham as well as newcomer, Brandon Forrester-McElvey.
Elsewhere, Kirkham will also be involved in the master's tournament along with Paul Smyth, Chris Dagnall and Shaun Roberts.
Next week the billiards event will be held on the final two days of the meeting (7-8 August) with Roberts, Chenji Ratnavel and Mike Crook all penned in to be take part.
