Skillen and English gun down Michael

Pulrose pulled off an excellent 2-1 success at CFS Division Two leaders Michael on Saturday.

First half goals from the prolific strike partnership of Dave Skillen and Barry English surprised the divisional favourites and also ended their 100 per cent record.

Player-manager Nick Hurt scored for Michael from the penalty spot but the home side slipped to defeat and ended the match with 10 men after Michael Perks was dismissed.

Colby moved top after a 4-0 success over battling Ronaldsway in the southern derby.

There were regular scorers at Glen Road as Josh Kelly, Marty Moore, Furo Davies and Adam Fretwell all netted in the triumph.

In the other southern derby, there was a fine success for Castletown who won 4-1 at Malew.

Tom Charmer, Ashley Southern, Peter O’Brien and returning veteran Mark Thompson were all on target for Town, who stay in the top four.

Ally Clarke notched the Malew consolation.

Jurby’s impressive start to the season continued as they won a seven goal thriller at Douglas and District.

Phil Christian hit two in their 4-3 win.

A last-gasp Adam Hawkes goal saw the Police seal an impressive 2-1 win at Marown.

Jamie Joughin was the scorer for the home side, who will be bitterly disappointed with the result.

Onchan won well, 3-0 at Billy Goat Park against Foxdale.

Mark Wolfenden and Mark Walmsley (two) were the visitors’ goal-getters.

A dominant first half showing from Braddan saw off Ramsey Youth Centre.

The home side led 4-0 at the break and went onto win 5-3 with a hat-trick from David Kinrade and goals from Wil Smith and Nick Ford.

However, Jason Orr, John Livesey and Glenn Migoda all found the net in the second period as Youth Centre restored some pride.
