He competed in the first ever Southern 100 in 1955
Former Southern 100 sidecar champion John Patrick has died.
Originally hailing from Northampton, the 1967 winner competed in the first ever event around the Billown circuit in 1955 finishing in second.
He rode in all solo classes and also registered a win in the Lightweight 250cc contest in 1960.
Southern 100 Racing has sent its condolences to John's family.
