The 2011 T.T. races fuelled by Monster Energy will be shorter.
Practice will start on Monday 30th May - with the usual untimed session the previous Saturday dropped from the schedule.
The decision has been made after organisers consulted teams and riders.
Elsewhere, electric bikes will compete for a third year in a row with the T.T. Zero race confirmed, and there will be several high profile events to celebrate both the centenary of the Mountain Course and Yamaha's 50th anniversary.
The race classes remain the same - Superbike, Sidecar, Superstock, Supersport and Senior.
T.T. and Motorsport Development Officer Paul Phillips says the event has got to fit in with the motorcycling industry which is currently experiencing a 100 year low financially:-
