Shaw treble as Douglas ease to victory

Douglas B thrashed Emerging Nomads in the Shimmin Wilson Manx Shield in the only rugby game of the day.

A hat-trick of tries from Mark Shaw, two each from John Ledwidge and Phil Garrett, and one each from Lloyd Jones, John Bateson and Gwyn Davies, helped seal a 57-10 victory.

Dave Wood also added a penalty and a conversion with the hosts’ consolations coming from Duncan Miller and Justin Meakin tries.
