Cal Crutchlow recorded his worst finish of the season at the US MotoGP yesterday.
The Ramsey resident finished seventh at Laguna Seca.
He started badly from fifth on the grid, losing a couple of places, then failed to make any impression on the top six as Jorge Lorenzo and Dani Pedrosa refused to let him past.
The race was won by Marc Marquez, who was racing on the circuit for the first time.
It's the 20-year-old Spanish rider's debut year in MotoGP, but that was already his third victory.
Crutchlow currently lies fifth in the championship standings, 47 points behind Marquez.
